Mr. Willie Coleman Obituary
On August 14, 1950, Roy & Willa Mae Coleman (both deceased) had their fourth child. Mr. Willie Roy Coleman (affectionately known as "Slim"), age 74, of Blair, SC passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 12, 2025, surrounded by loved ones
Willie attended Daniel E. Morgan Elementary and graduated from Warrensville Heights High School in 1969 where he was a super-star Basketball Player holding the All-Time Rebounding record (1967) which still stands today---30 rebounds in a game.
Willie continued his education by applying and being accepted into Pipefitters Local #120 Five Year Apprenticeship Program in 1996 and was hired at ColeJohn Spohn (now Coleman Spohn Corporation) July 17, 1996. In 2001, Willie obtained his Pipefitters Journeyman Certificate and worked as a Journey Pipefitter Foreman for Coleman Spohn Corporation until his retirement January 27, 2012.
Willie lived a life filled with kindness, laughter, and unwavering love for family and friends known for his computer skills and all-around handyman skills, Willie touched the lives of everyone he met. He found joy in building and remodeling everything anyone would ask of him to do; whether it be a new floor in your kitchen or installing your HVAC system to stay cool on those HOT South Carolina summer days.
Willie leaves to cherish his loving memory, his significant other, Marsha Hale; two daughters, Nikisha Heath of Jeffersonville, IN and Danielle Williams and her spouse Richard of Rock Hill, C; four sons: Nathaniel Coleman and his spouse Macedonia, OH; Willie Roy Coleman, Jr. and his spouse Rachel of St. Albans, WV; Marcus Coleman and his spouse Suzanne of Cleveland Hts., OH; and Marcellus Coleman of Garfield Hts., OH; one sister, Rosalind "Roz" Coleman of South Euclid, OH; three brothers Lonzo "Lonnie" Coleman and his spouse Francis of Twinsburg, OH; Charlie Mitchel Coleman of Warrensville Hts., OH; and Rudolph "Rudy" Coleman of Los Angeles, CA; sister-in-law Lucille Peoples of Blair SC; seventeen (17) grandchildren: Deyonta Coleman, Lillian Coleman, Daniel White, Annalee White, Austin Frye, Javin Heath, Jabari Heath, Kevaan Beauregard, Dajon Williams, Donyell Williams, Richard Williams III, Marc Williams, Marcus Coleman Jr., Marcellus Coleman Jr., Marceth Coleman and Kailen Coleman.
Willie also leaves behind a host of family members-aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who he adored and loved dearly and who loved him tremendously.
In addition to his parents, Willie was preceded in death by his brother John Peoples of Blair, SC and his sister Olivia Germany of Twinsburg, OH. Willie Roy Coleman -
