With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Willie Craig "Chilly Willie" Lynch on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at ECU North Hospital in Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina. He was born to Penny Richardson Lynch and the late Willie Deemos Lynch on October 11, 1969, in Halifax County, North Carolina.
Willie was a proud native of Hollister, North Carolina, and his formal education was received in the Halifax County Public School System. From a young age, he was known for his infectious laugh, strong will, and deep sense of responsibility. These traits followed him throughout his life and laid the foundation for his success as the owner, operator of Mr. Clean Widow and Pressure Washing Company, which he managed for over thirty years with great pride and integrity.
Willie lived a life defined by his unwavering love and deep devotion to those he held most dear to his heart. He was a beloved son, devoted father, cherished brother, proud grandfather, and loyal friend. His larger-then-life personality and tireless work ethic have left a lasting impression on everyone he met.
Beyond Willie's professional accomplishments, his greatest pride was his family. He was a beloved father to his daughter, Shaunacy Alston, and his stepson, Jaurez Poole, both of Tampa, FL; his special companion, Dr. Laverne Alston of Tampa, FL; and his two granddaughters, Skylar and Saylor, who brought him the greatest joy, always lifted up his world, and held a special place in Papa's heart; his loving mother, Penny Silver and stepfather, James Silver of Hollister, NC; his two sisters, Ashley and Andrea Lynch of Rocky Mount, NC; his niece, Nia Lynch; his large extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins, and a host of friends.
Willie leaves behind a legacy of hard work, family devotion, and kindness. He will be missed far more than any spoken words could ever convey.
"He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed." Revelation 21:4 (NIV)
A viewing will be held on Saturday, July 5, 2025, at 2:00PM, and the funeral service will begin at 3:00PM in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home, 215 US Highway 158, Littleton, NC. Rev. Isabeller Wills will deliver eulogy, and burial will follow in the Lynch Family Cemetery, 95 Feather Lane, Hollister, NC.
