Mrs. Willie Mae Mason, age 91, passed away peacefully on May 13, 2025 in Griffin, Georgia.
Mrs. Mason was born September 19, 1933 to Mr. Willie Emmett Sosebee and Mrs. Mary Eula Allgood Sosebee. She was married to Mr. Albert Mason. Willie Mae was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend to many.
Mrs. Mason lived a long and blessed life filled with faith, warmth, and kindness. She found happiness in the simple treasures of life. She adored flowers, found joy in shopping trips-especially at Belk, and had a deep love for old-fashioned comforts like cornbread and buttermilk. Gospel music stirred her soul, and her home was often filled with the sound of her humming a favorite hymn.
But above all, her heart belonged to her family-especially her grandchildren, who were her greatest delight. She poured out her love through her wisdom, her cooking, her laughter, and her unwavering support. Her legacy will live on in every life she touched.
Though we find comfort in knowing she is at peace, the pain of her absence is deeply felt. Your wings were ready, but our hearts were not.
She was preceded in death by: Parents, Mr. and Mrs. Willie Emmett (Mary Eula Allgood) Sosebee; Husband, Mr. Albert Mason; Brothers, Buren Sosebee, Gerald Sosebee, Lloyd Sosebee, Harold Sosebee, Truman Sosebee, Alton Sosebee; Sisters, Jeanette Osborne, Helen Folsom, Dorothy Sosebee; Son in law, Mr. Phillip Wallace, Sr.
Mrs. Mason is survived by her beloved Children, Deborah Wallace, Patricia (Ray), O'Leary, Grandchildren, Tyler Patrick, Zackary Wallace, Addison O'Leary, Nickolas (Jackie) Wallace, Phillip Wallace Jr.; Great grandchildren, Sebastian Wallace, Oliver Wallace, Calum Wallace; Brothers, Charles (Dianne)Sosebee, Leon Sosebee, and sister, Jean Roach, and a host of extended family and dear friends. Each one carries a piece of her love and memory in their hearts.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 23, 2025, 3:00 P.M. - 4:00 P.M.
A celebration of her life will be held on Friday, May 23, 2025, at 4:00. Pastor Durden will officiate. Interment following the service at Paulding Memorial Gardens. The family invites all who knew and loved Willie Mae to join in honoring her remarkable life.
