Wilma Jean Dixon, age 95 of Hillsboro, passed away Wednesday afternoon July 2, 2025 at the Highland District Hospital. She was born June 26, 1930 in Good Hope, Ohio, the daughter of the late Arthur and Stella (Taylor) Current. She was a member of the Leesburg Friends Church and had retired from the Leesburg Citizen and Fifth Third Bank after many years of service. Mrs. Dixon is survived by two children, Lindy (Dee) Dixon and Lisa Lucas; eight grandchildren, Tausha (Brett) Barton, Hunter Dixon, Tanner Dixon, Carley (Brett Prince) Haines, Casey Polley, Chase Polley, Donnie (Rell) Ward and Jamie (Jaymie) Claytor; eleven great grandchildren, Riley Barton, Dylan Barton, Logan Barton, Brant Haines, Blake Haines, Hallie Haines, Kali Polley, Brooklynn Bayless, Julian Bayless, Darian Ward and Terronica Ward; and a sister-in-law, Herma Current. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Donald Eugene Dixon, who passed away December 1, 2012; her son-in-law, Terry Lucas; and siblings Lena (Don) Fee, Josephine (Eddie) Braden and Arthur "Sonny" Current. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 8, 2025 at the Hardin's Creek Cemetery at Bridges, S.R. 771, Leesburg. Memorial contributions may be made to the United Society of Friends Women (USFW) c/o the Leesburg Friends Church, P.O. Box 393, Leesburg, Ohio 45135.
