Winslow Young, age 91, passed away on June 26, 2025.
He was born on November 5, 1933, in Gilbertown, AL, to Winston and Laura (Williams) Young.
Winslow worked at America Steel Foundries for 30 years until his retirement. He was a member of New Zion Baptist Church.
Winslow enjoyed hunting, fishing and cooking. More than anything he loved spending time with family and friends.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Robbie (Price) Young; siblings, Lowell Young, Robert (Debbie) Young, Vennia Jones, and Kathy Davis; sister-in-law, Joyclyn Young; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Thomas Young; daughter, Melinda Young; brothers, Odell, Thomas, Earl, Everett, Lovell and Elliot Young; and sisters, Exer Mae Johnson, Ruth Everett, Minnie Curry, Amatha Pasley, Earnestene Roberts, Lily Mae Rogers and Regina Rhyne.
A funeral services will be held at New Zion Baptist Church on Wednesday, July 9th at 12:00 p.m. with a visitation one hour prior. Interment will be at Alliance City Cemetery.
