Wynoka Sue Chenault or "Pinchie" as she was affectionately called by everyone who knew her, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 13th, 2025, at the age of 65. She was born on January 4, 1960, in Karnes City, Texas, to Walter Clarence Patteson and Mazie Patteson. She graduated from Gonzales High School and worked as a nurse, dedicating her life to caring for others.
Wynoka married Bill Chenault on September 6, 1986, in Nixon, Texas. They shared 39 years of marriage. As many who knew her would say, she "marched to the beat of her own drum". Wynoka enjoyed many things -among her favorites were the color purple, sewing, playing her scratch-offs, listening to Janis Joplin, drinking a nice cold Coca-Cola, and most of all spending time with her family whom she loved immensely.
She is survived by her husband, Bill Chenault, her son, James Chenault (Ashley); both of Gonzales, Texas and her granddaughters, Kaeleigh V. Chenault and Katherine Sue Chenault. She is also survived by her nephews: Fred Blundell (Caroline), Nolan Blundell (Debbie), and Leslie Blundell, great-nieces and great-nephews: Allison Blundell, Peyton Hare, Jaren Blundell, Tanner Blundell, Madison Blundell, and Caitlin Blundell, as well as numerous other family members and friends whom she loved. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, siblings - Walter Patteson, Lyndi Patteson & Ray Patteson. Wynoka was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
A memorial visitation will begin at 1:00pm on August 1st, 2025, with a memorial service following at 2:00pm at Seydler Hill Funeral Home.
