It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Xander Blaze Sanchez, aged 21, who left this world on May 19, 2025, at his residence in Boise City, Oklahoma. Born on February 13, 2004, in Scott City, Kansas, Xander was a cherished son of Lanor Ashley Hughes and S. James Sanchez Jr.
Xander was a gifted artist, known for his enchanting drawings that brought joy to family and friends alike. With a heart imbued with compassion, he had a remarkable ability to uplift those around him, earning the love and admiration of his family. His deep bond with his siblings was evident in the playful moments they shared, particularly during their wrestling matches, which brought laughter and warmth to their home. He loved to work, and he worked hard.
He is survived by his devoted mother, Lanor Ashley Hughes; his loving father, S. James Sanchez Jr, and his wife, Nancy; his bonus father, Michael Luna Roy; three brothers, Legion Collins, Mikkalai Luna, and Xavier Sanchez; and sisters, Jazmyn Luna-Roy and Nazellia May Marie Luna-Roy. Xander's cherished maternal grandmother, Janet Hughes, beloved paternal grandparents Lupe Lopez and husband Socorro, along with great uncles Chad Hughes and his wife Misty, and Wesley Hughes and his wife Charlene, will also remember him fondly, as will numerous other relatives and friends.
Xander was preceded in death by his beloved Papa David Stanhope, Popup Bob, and Granny Vivian Hughes, whose memories will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during the visitation, which will be held on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, from 2 P.M. until 7 P.M., and on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, from 12 P.M. until 7 P.M. at Robson Funeral Home of Elkhart.
