Kathleen (Walsh) Fagan passed away peacefully on July 17, 2025, after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer's disease. Born on May 29, 1942, in New Britain, CT, the daughter of Martin Walsh, II, and Catherine (Conley) Walsh, Kathleen dedicated her life to her extended family and lifelong friends.

At the age of 21, Kathleen married the love of her life David W. Fagan, and they were happily married until his passing at the age of 60 in April 2001. Later in life, she reconnected with her high school friend, Justin "Jerry" Pagano, and they were together for 24 years until her passing.

Kathleen, remembered for her beautiful auburn hair and smiling blue eyes, had a passion for music, initially playing both the piano and the violin, until she infamously threw her violin into a brook when she decided that she was no longer interested in the violin. She was a devoted friend, maintaining lifelong friendships that she cherished until her passing.

One of her favorite pastimes was watching her children and grandchildren play sports, especially cheering on her daughter Sheila, and her grandchildren through their many athletic activities.

Kathleen was an avid traveler enjoying time exploring unfamiliar places, both near and far. One of her favorite and frequent places to visit was Ogunquit, ME, where she spent many happy summers making lasting memories with both friends and family.

Kathleen is survived by her sister-in-law Katherine "Katie" Walsh of West Des Moines, IA; her children Patrick Fagan and his wife Anne of Cromwell, CT, and Susan (Fagan) Colossale and her husband Dominic of Guilford, CT; her beloved grandchildren Logan Taricani and his wife Kelsey, Madison Taricani, Benjamin Fagan, and Andrew Fagan; together with many nieces and nephews with whom she enjoyed spending time. Kathleen was preceded in death by her husband David, her parents, brother Martin Walsh III, sister Joanne and her husband Edward Brennan, and daughter Sheila Fagan.

Friends may call at Duksa Family Funeral Homes at Newington Memorial, 20 Bonair Avenue, Newington, CT on Thursday, July 24, 2025, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. celebrated at the Church of the Holy Spirit, 183 Church Street, Newington. Interment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, New Britian, CT.
