Ednamae Sukala Obituary

Ednamae Sukala, 92, (affectionately known as LaLa) of New Kensington, passed away Friday, Aug. 22, 2025, just hours short of her 93rd birthday with her son Gary and her daughter Sherry holding her hands. She was born Aug. 23, 1932, in New Kensington to the late Stanley and Sophie (Dziengielewski) Probel. Ednamae was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, William L. "Bill" Sukala, in 2015; and her eldest son, William J. "Billy" Sukala, in 2011. She is survived by her son, Gary Sukala, and his wife, Barbara; her daughter, Sherry Sukala; her granddaughter and family, Hillary and Philip Ameris; and her great-grandchildren, Nico, Avery, and Emelia Ameris. She is also survived by two nieces; and two nephews. Prayers of transfer will take place at 9:30 a.m., Thursday, Aug. 28, 2025, in the funeral home, followed by a funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Mary of Czestochowa Church, New Kensington.
