Paul Yerys Obituary

Yerys - Paul, MD, passed away at the age of 89, on June 22, 2025. Born and raised in New York City, he spent most of his adult life in Dix Hills and Commack on Long Island. He was one of the pioneering Orthopedic Surgeons in New York who used Arthroscopic techniques, and he practiced in Merrick, NY, for over 40 years. While he briefly worked with professional athletes, he relished working with high school and collegiate athletes. Paul was cherished by his loved ones for his kind nature, keen intellect, and sharp wit. Paul is survived by his wife, Abbey; sister, Claire; brother, Harold; three children, Valerie, Drew, and Ben; four grandchildren, Jett, Caiden, Lily, and Jake. In his passing, Paul joins his late son, Larry; and his grandson, Devin, whom he loved dearly. A Funeral Service will be held at Forest Park Funeral Home at 114-03 Queens Boulevard, on June 25, at 11:30am.
