Claudette Darley Obituary
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. PDT today, Sept. 4, 2008, at Lewis & Ribbs Memorial Chapel, (415) 468-2360, in San Francisco. Private interment will follow. The family received friends Wednesday at Lewis & Ribbs Mortuary.
Claudette was born May 22, 1939, in Rock Bluff, Fla. She graduated as valedictorian from Rosenwald High School in 1956 and graduated from Florida A&M University in Tallahassee, Fla., in 1961. She later moved to San Francisco, beginning a new chapter of her life.
Claudette is survived by two children, Wayne Alexander and Deirdre Elise, both of San Francisco; parents, Alfred E. Fox Sr. and Lela Fox of Panama City, Fla.; brothers, Alfred Jr. and Winfred, also of Panama City; brother, Michael of Pittsburgh; sister, Pamela of Tallahassee, Fla.; and sister, Alfreda of Daly City, Calif.

So sorry to hear - by coincidence only - of your loss.

I always wished time would permit to be seeing you once more. We met in 1985 when I was your daughter's boyfriend from overseas and during the following 12 years or so and until today I found out you had the greatest heart. You were always so generous and you never lost your great sense of humor. You helped me and did so much for me and I learned so much from you. I will never forget.
My heart goes out to your family, especially D.
