Holly Springs, North Carolina - Ellen J. Magid, a retired veterinarian, passed away at her home in Holly Springs on June 16. A graduate of Tulane (Sophie Newcomb) and Oklahoma State University, she spent her professional career with the U. S. Department of Agriculture. She is survived by a brother, Andy Magid of Norman Oklahoma.

Ellen had a great sense of humor and encyclopedic knowledge about almost any topic you can imagine. I will miss her friendship and those conversations. Rest in peace Ellen. We will miss you.
