Healan and I became friends at OLLI at NCSU. We were both in the genealogy group and writing group. She encouraged us to use action verbs and to grab the reader's attention immediately. She was an inspiration to me and I will miss her.

I’m very sad to read of Healan’s death. She was a valued member of our high school class (Broughton Class of ‘57) and active in class reunions until recent years. I remember her fondly.

So sorry to hear about Healan. Our families made many good memories beginning in Winston Salem. Sending love to all.
