Gordon K. Armstrong, 87, of Peru, passed away Friday, July 18, 2025 at Allure of Peru.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 22, 2025 at Mueller Funeral Home, Peru with Rev. Tom Redig, pastor of St. John's Lutheran Church, Peru officiating. Burial to follow in Peru City Cemetery. Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Mr. Armstrong was born October 20, 1937 in Ottawa to William and Cecilia (Markut) Armstrong. He married Virginia "Ginger" Willie on May 6, 1967 in Grant Park, IL. She passed away February 8, 1973. He later married Rita Piacentini on July 10, 1976 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Peru. Mr. Armstrong worked at Union Carbide, Snap On Tools, American Nicleloid and later retired from the First National Bank, Peru as a custodian, was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and an avid fisherman and antique collector.
Survivors include his wife, Rita of Peru and many cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and first wife, Virginia "Ginger".
