Born: October 25, 1947 in Princeton, Illinois
Died: July 7, 2025 in Bloomington, Illinois
Jerry L. Wolford, 77, of Princeton, passed away on Monday, July 7, 2025, in OSF St. Joseph Medical Center, Bloomington, with his family by his side.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 12, in The Chapel of The Fiocchi-Jensen Funeral Home, Princeton, with military honors by the Princeton Veterans Memorial Group. His family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until the time of services Saturday in the funeral home. Private online condolences may be left for his family at www.FiocchiFuneralHomes.com.
Jerry was born on October 25, 1947 in Princeton to Dario and Betty (Sandberg) Wolford. He was a graduate of Manlius High School. He served in the United States Army Reserves.
He worked at Consolidated Freight, Sneakers Dance Club in Sterling, and for Austin Powder as a truck driver. He was a member of the Princeton Moose Lodge. He coached for JFL football and little league baseball. He was an avid Cubs and Bears fan and enjoyed stockcar racing at the Bureau County Speedway.
He is survived by: his children, Amanda (Matthew) Pearson of Saybrook, Illinois, Dustin Wolford of Princeton, and Jodi (Royce) Fundell of Green River, Wyoming; and 10 grandchildren, Lisa, Tristin, Laynie, Josiah, Magnus, Caden, Novalyne, Lillian, Dario, and Samuel.
He was preceded by: his parents; 2 brothers, Chuck Smith, and David Wolford; and a sister, Linda Peterson.
Memorials may be directed to the Princeton Moose Lodge.

My deepest sympathies to Jerry's Family. I always called him "Wolfe" he was a dear friend to Bob & I. He was a class mate of mine & always up for a fun time. He was loved by many & will be greatly missed.

Jerry was a friend since 6th grade in Colchester. We were more like brothers growing up. I am really going to miss him . He came to Macomb a few times to visit me , I didn’t get a chance to come to visit him. I really felt bad . He will always be in my thoughts, prayers for his family .Love Richard Fowler and family
