Marjorie Solack Obituary


Marjorie Jayne Solack 89, of Lovettsville, Virginia passed away on July 14, 2025 at her home with her loving family by her side.

Marjorie was born June 23, 1936 in Meadville, PA. the daughter of the late George and Dorothy Anderson. She attended Warren County High School in Front Royal, Virginia. She went on to study and graduated from Longwood University.

After graduating with a degree in Chemistry, she worked at George Washington University as a laboratory technician. This is where she met and married her beloved husband of fifty years Dr. George A. Solack, Sr. They went on to have three children George, Lara and John.

Marjorie was a homemaker and devoted wife and mother. When asked what were her greatest accomplishments she said "my husband and children".

Marjorie was predeceased by her parents, brother Charles H. Anderson, and her husband George A. Solack, Sr.

She is survived by her children George Solack and his wife Julie, Lara Lasher and her husband Tim, and her son John Solack. She is also survived by her grandchildren Sara Lasher, Nathan Lasher, Andrew Solack, Carolyn Solack, her great-granddaughter Sofia Warner, and sister-in-law Evelyn Anderson.

A private graveside service will be held for the family on 7/ 22/ 2025 at 11 A.M. at Panorama Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 4917 Strasburg Rd, Strasburg, Virginia with Pastor Barnabus Schwanke officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the Myasthenia Gravis Foundation (MGFA) at https://myasthenia.org/support-the-mg-community/make-a-gift/ways-to-give/
