Estelle Powell, age 76, of East Chicago, passed away on Thursday, May 8, 2025, at Hammond-Whiting Care Center in Whiting.
She is survived by four sisters, Ruby (Steven) Powell-Flowers, Stephanie Powell, Roxanna (Joseph Sr.) Powell-Graziano and Nicole Powell; three brothers, Andrew Powell Sr., Timothy Powell Sr., and TeeAaron (Robin) Powell; five nieces, Dana (Jimmy) Jordan, Andrea Powell, Jasmine Flowers, Nia Powell and Sidney Rose Powell; seven nephews, Darren Powell, Harrison Powell Jr., Andrew Powell Jr., Joseph (Morgan) Graziano Jr.,TeeAaron J. Powell, Joshua Graziano, and Timothy Powell Jr.; and a host of aunts, uncles, great-nieces and -nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
Preceded in death by parents, George and Willie Mae Powell, Sr.; sister, Betty Powell; brothers, George Powell Jr. and Harrison Powell Sr.; nephew, Terrance J. Powell.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 29, 2025, 11 a.m., at Dynasty Banquet Hall, 4125 Calumet Avenue, Hammond.
