DAVID LANG Obituary

LANG--David Andrew. David Andrew Lang "Andy" In Loving Memory And Blessing Z"L October 30, 1942 - October 26, 2025 Andy was born and grew up in New Orleans and later moved to New York after retirement to be close to his sons and their families. Andy led a very active and successful work life, including serving as Partner at McGlinchey Stafford Lang Law Firm, Partner at Kullman & Lang Law Firm, and President & Chief Executive Officer at Petroleum Helicopters Inc. He received both his undergraduate degree in Business Administration (BBA) and Law Degree (LLB) from Tulane University. Prior, he attended The Loomis School(where he played varsity football) and Isadore Newman School. He and his father, Sam, worked together, and were regarded by many as experts in the field of labor law. Andy was a prolific reader, both for pleasure, and as a lifelong student of the law. He had an amazing sense of humor, and loved to laugh. Andy loved all kinds of music, art, opera, and theatre, spending summers in Maine, and travelling the world, but most of all, treasured his family, and was very grateful when friends and family came to visit him. He was loved by his grandchildren and will be remembered fondly. Andy loved treating his family to dinners at such places as Galatoires, ordering more food than could be eaten, wanting to make sure that everyone was happy, full, and had a story to tell. Andy's love of animals was always clear and he shared that love with everyone around him. Andy is survived by his sons, Drew Lang(spouse Graciela Bergner) and Timothy David-Lang (spouse Jenn David- Lang) of New York, sister Cindy Lang of Maine, brothers Joe Lang (spouse Sally Lang) of St. Louis, and Bill Lang (spouse Maggie Lang) of Maine, grandchildren Zoe David-Lang, Alexa David- Lang, and Nico Lang, a niece, nephews, and their families. Andy was the child of Samuel and Joel Lang of blessed memory. A private memorial in Andy's honor will be planned at a later date.
