Dolly Ryan Obituary

Dolly Ryan, devoted mother and grandmother, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, December 31, 2024, at the age of 79. Dolly was born August 14, 1945, to Donald and Gertrude Beatty of Denbo. She was the original coal miner's daughter, with a heart of gold coupled with the temper of a hornet. There will never be enough words in the English language to describe or express what an amazing person, wife, mother, and grandmother she was. Dolly was the ultimate matriarch. She would give you the shirt off her back or slap you upside the head for knowing you could do better. Dolly thought the absolute world of her grandchildren and always told them "you can do whatever you set your mind to." She was an outspoken, redheaded, spit fire of a women whose company was enjoyed by all that were privileged enough to know her. There was always a lot of love and laughter in her presence. Dolly was the ultimate house keeper, cook, and magical holiday maker. She was Ma. She was Meme. Dolly was married to O.B. Ryan for 45 years. After his passing in 2020, she spent the remainder of her senior years with her daughter, youngest granddaughter, and the only cat she ever liked, "kitty princess Mimzy", enjoying home cooked meals, celebrating holidays, and watching her favorite tv shows like Dance Moms, Texas Ranger, the Price is Right (old school Bob Barker), and how could we ever forget her all-time favorite - CSI New York. After many years of watching unending episodes we unofficially deemed her a member of the New York Police Department. Dolly will be lovingly remembered, forever cherished, and deeply missed. She is survived by a daughter, Shelley Ryan; grandchildren, Aubrey Ryan and Noelle Barnhart; a great- grandchild, Anakin Korey; and a son-in-law, David Reilly. All funeral arrangements are private and under the direction of the Warco-Falvo Funeral Home, Inc., Wilson at E. Katherine Avenues, Washington, S. Timothy Warco, owner / supervisor, S. Timothy Warco II, director, Holly Renay Warco, director. Condolences may be expressed at www.WarcoFalvoFuneralHome.com

Sorry for your loss Shelley, I haven´t seen your mom or dad for many years. I do remember that we had a lot of great times together. Dolly and I shared a room together when we used to go to Atlantic City. O.B would stay home while we went , but we sure did share a lot of laughter together. RIP Dolly & OB.
