Norma Headlee Obituary

Norma Jean Teagarden Headlee, 86 of Waynesburg, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, December 28, 2024. She was born May 5, 1938, in Richhill Township, Greene County, a daughter of the late Louis "Bill" and Dora Smalley Teagarden. Norma was a 1956 graduate of West Greene High School. On June 14, 1957, she married Harland R. Headlee and was married for 65 years until his death on November 21, 2022. She worked as the secretary at the Greene County Vocational School for the LPN school. Norma was a member of the Oakview Methodist Church, Waynesburg and enjoyed the fellowship and Christian studies. She was an avid reader and enjoyed watching movies and the birds outside on her back deck. She spent years going to craft shows with her daughter Jill and enjoyed crocheting blankets. She liked watching sports and was a fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and loved the West Virginia Mountaineers. She most loved spending time with her family and friends. Surviving are four children, a son, Joseph S. (Jane) Headlee of Waynesburg; three daughters, Jill (Terry) Monas of Jefferson, Janet (Frank) Stanek of Washington, and Jerri Mackey of Rices Landing; 10 grandchildren, Jessica (Jamie) Moore, Jilissa Hurd, Janelle (Mike) Moritz, Julie (Ryan) Lawrence, Jackie (Tyler) Helwig, Amelia (Austin) Hoover, Jared Headlee, Kaleb Williams, Tyler Woolen and Ellie Stanek; nine great- grandchildren; a brother, George W. "Bill" Teagarden of Lady Lake, FL; and several nieces and nephews. Deceased in addition to her husband and parents is a sister, Helen Louis Householder. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at 11 a.m. in the Oakview Methodist Church, 160 Rolling Meadows Rd., Waynesburg, PA 15370, with Rev. Bryan Long officiating.
