Leanna Bennett Obituary
SPRINGVVILLE - Leanna Minnie Bennett, age 91, formerly of Arcade, passed away on Friday, June 27, 2025 at the Jennie B. Richmond Nursing Home in Springville.
She was born on January 19, 1934 in Franklinville, and was a daughter of the late Perry and Nina Elizabeth (Slater) Reynolds. She was a member of the Sandusky Baptist Church and enjoyed plastic canvas, ceramic painting, completing jigsaw puzzles and being a grandma. She also enjoyed listening to music, especially Elvis, and attending Music in the Park. She had also worked in the Cafeteria at the Pioneer High School.
Her husband, Clyde Bennett, whom she married on January 27, 1951 in Great Valley, passed away on October 5, 1999.
Leanna is survived by her children: Susan (Tim) Marble of Arcade and Allen Bennett of Lime Lake; her grandchildren: Elizabeth Bennett, Angel (Richard) Zink, Mandy (Chad) Smith, Sean (Lisa) Bennett, Ryan (Bobbi-Jean) Bennett, Derek (Laura) Bennett, Travis (Julie) Bennett and Lindsey (Todd) Anziano. She is also survived by her daughter-in-law, Kathy Bennett of Rensselaer, her sister-in-law, Dorothy McCracken of Great Valley, 20 great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she is preceded in death by her son, Terry Bennett and her siblings: Richard McCracken, Evelyn (Floyd) Golley, Lettie (Bill) Hastings and Anna (Bill) Dash.
Friends may call on Saturday, July 5, 2025 from 9 a.m.-11 a.m. at the Sandusky Baptist Church with a Funeral Service immediately following at 11 a.m. with Pastor John Asquith officiating. Interment will be held in Mt. Hope Cemetery in West Valley.
Memorials may be made to the Arcade Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 303, Arcade, N.Y. 14009 or to the Sandusky Baptist Church, 11487 Rt. 98, Freedom, N.Y. 14065.
