Robert Huddleston Obituary

Robert C. Huddleston, loving family man

HUMPHREY - Robert C. Huddleston, of Humphrey, passed away Monday (July 14, 2025) at home, following an illness.

Bob was born April 15, 1941, in Rock Island, Ill., and was the son of Bernarr and Florence Johnson Huddleston. On Feb. 16, 1963, at Kenmore United Methodist Church, he married Suzanne E. Moore, who survives.

Bob was a 1959 graduate from Kenmore High School and attended Erie County Community College to be a journeyman and eventually became a machinist.

While living in Kenmore he worked at General Motors and retired after 44 years, on July 1, 2003, where he then moved to Humphrey to his in-laws farm.

Bob was a member of Cuba Methodist Church. He was formerly a member of the Masonic Lodge in Kenmore and was currently a member of the Portville Masonic Lodge 579 F&AM where he has been for over 20 years having served as a master as well as other positions for many years. Bob was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Pond Chapter 853 in West Seneca (his Home Chapter), where he was serving as patron and has held many other positions for years. He was also grand officer for the Grand Chapter in 1992. He was also a member of the Ismailia Shrine in West Seneca.

Bob played softball for many years as a younger man. He enjoyed working with his son on the farm and anything on the tractor. He also enjoyed bowling, ballroom dancing and working with wood.

Bob actively enjoyed camping, water-skiing, cross-country skiing and was active in scouting and Little League coaching. He was also an avid sports fan of the New York Yankees, Buffalo Bills and the Buffalo Sabres.

Beside his loving wife Suzanne, Bob is survived by his two sons, Chuck R. Huddleston of Ischua and Bruce A. Huddleston of Clarence; two grandchildren, Cara and Aaron; and three great-grandchildren, Colton, Cambri and Cannon.

Bob was predeceased by his parents; and brother, James Huddleston.

Friends will be received from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, July 26, 2025, at the Cuba Methodist Church, 49 E. Main St., Cuba. His Masonic Lodge and Eastern Star Chapter will conduct services at 1 p.m. followed by funeral services accorded by The Rev. Becky L. Worth, pastor. Burial will be in Mount Prospect Cemetery, Franklinville.
