Ricky Wooldridge Obituary

Ricky Wooldridge passed away on June 12, 2025, at the age of 71 in Damascus, Oregon. Born on March 15, 1954, Ricky grew up in the Pacific Northwest, shaping a life marked by dedication to family, service, and community.
Ricky joined the US Navy in 1972, serving his country with honor until 1978. His military career was followed by work as a bookkeeper, employed by various businesses throughout his professional life.
In his personal life, Ricky was a devoted husband and father. He married Connie Blades, and together they raised two children before her passing in 2017. Ricky found love again with Tamara Matteson, marrying her in 2018.
Ricky was involved with several churches throughout his life, most recently Revolution Church and Gold Standard Ministries, he previously attended Immanuel Church and SW Bible Church. His strong faith undergirded his daily life and interactions.
Ricky had a passion for raising and racing homing pigeons, a hobby he cherished for many years. He also dedicated much time to researching his family history.
He is survived by his spouse, Tamara Wooldridge; children, Astrid and Jonathan Wooldridge; granddaughter, Lindy Wooldridge; mother, Marilyn Garrett; siblings, Roni Wooldridge Goodstein, Randy Wooldridge, Renee Wooldridge, Robin Wooldridge, and Terry Lewis; along with numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Ricky was preceded in death by his father, David Albert Wooldridge.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on July 12, 2025, at 3:00 pm at Revolution Church, located at 13047 SE Ramona, Portland, Oregon. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Gold Standard Ministries at sendinghub.org or Revolution Church at www.revolutionchurchpdx.com. Ricky's legacy of love, service, and community will be remembered by all who knew him.
