Kay Honsaker Bryan Goodman Obituary


Family-Placed Funeral Notice

KAY GOODMAN Kay Honsaker Bryan Goodman, longtime resident of West Palm Beach, Florida, and previously of Erie, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully in her 93rd year under the tender care of Hospice Center at JFK Hospital, August 21, 2005. Kay loved sewing, knitting, coloring, cooking, baking, slot machines, and piano-playing. Her specialty was “sing-a-longs” of show tunes and hymns at family gatherings, always taking the alto part. Born in Masontown, Pennsylvania, she is survived by her son, John Bryan, Jr.; daughter, Lee Glessner Bryan, both residents of West Palm Beach and both former residents of Palm Beach and Erie; and by one grandson, William Guy Glessner; two great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; and eight stepdaughters and sons. She is preceded by her loving husband Walter Goodman (35 years), of West Palm Beach and Erie, and earlier John Bryan, Sr. of Erie. She was a Founding Life Member of the Guild For International Piano Competitions. Those planning an expression of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, are asked to consider contributions to the Guild, 3639 Passeo Navarra, West Palm Beach, Florida 33405. There will be a Memorial Service in the Chapel at The United Methodist Church of the Palm Beaches, 900 Brandywine Road, West Palm Beach (off Palm Beach Lakes Blvd.) where she was a member, Wednesday, August 24 at 4PM, the Rev. David McEntire, officiating.
