Margaret E. "Peg" Muzzillo, 95, formerly of Winona Lake, Indiana, died at 12:08 am, Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at Blair Ridge Health Campus in Peru. She was born on January 17, 1930, in Garrett, Indiana, to Raymond D. and Annabelle (Radabaugh) Smith.
Peg was a 1948 graduate of Garrett High School, and attended Indiana University. She married Bernard A. Muzzillo on December 17, 1950 in Garrett; he died February 17, 2018. Peg worked at Wabash County Hospital in Medical Records retiring in 1978, and also was a secretary for Wabash City Schools from 1978-1985. She was a member of Wabash Presbyterian Church, the P.E.O. chapter in Syracuse, Indiana, the Terpsichorian Dance Club in Wabash, and was a former member of Sigma Phi Gamma sorority in Wabash. Peg enjoyed reading, playing bridge, and watching all sports especially when her family was involved.
She is survived by five children; Douglas (Heather) Muzzillo of Peru, Gary (Nancy) Muzzillo of Florence, Kentucky, Marcia (Joe) Kaufman of Wabash, Kevin (Anne) Muzzillo of Lakewood Ranch, Florida, and Steven (Patricia) Muzzillo of Arlington Heights, IL, eleven grandchildren; Anthony Muzzillo of Indianapolis, Indiana, Christopher (Kellyanna) Muzzillo of Evergreen, Colorado, Jason Muzzillo of Lexington, Kentucky, Gregory Muzzillo of Edgewood, Kentucky, Bradley (Andrea) Kaufman of Wabash, Brent (Mikal) Kaufman of Mendota, Illinois, Hayley (Christian) Sundin of Parrish, Florida, Megan Muzzillo of Arlington Heights, Illinois, Jack Muzzillo of Chicago, Illinois, Jamie (Brandon) Curtis of Erlanger, Kentucky, and Bryan (Kelly) Wessel of Hebron, Kentucky; and 18 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Angela Marie Muzzillo; grandson Paul Muzzillo; and two sisters, Elnora Myers and Mary Lou Trainer.
Funeral services will be 2:00 pm, Saturday, March 15, 2025, at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Avenue, Wabash, with Pastor Laura Helm officiating. Entombment will be in the Chapel of Remembrance Mausoleum at Memorial Lawns Cemetery, Wabash. Friends may call 4-7 pm Friday, at the funeral home.
