SARATOGA SPRINGS - Jannette "Jan" Viola (Lord) Hutchins-Baker, 90 passed away peacefully at Fort Hudson Nursing Center with her daughter by her side, on Thursday, July 31, 2025.

Jan was born in Irasburg, Vt., on June 7, 1935, to the late Norbert and Olive (Taylor) Lord of Pittsfield, Mass. She was the youngest of four children.

Jan worked for the ARC in Saratoga Springs, retiring in 1997. She loved music and crocheting. Over the years she donated many handmade Afghans, to our Veteran's and hats and Afghans to newborns at the Saratoga and Glens Falls Hospital's.

Jan's passion was western style dancing.

Jannette's legacy will be carried on by her loving children, Terry Allen, Larry R. (Sharon) Hutchins Jr, and Kenneth R. (Cathy) Hutchins. Her memory will also be cherished by her adored grandchildren, Matthew Allen, Jeffrey Hutchins, Ashley Hedges, Christopher Hutchins, Erin Hutchins, and Jonathan Hutchins; several great-grandchildren.

Jannette now joins her husband, Larry Hutchins Sr who passed on July 24, 1979; her parents, Norbert and Olive Lord; and her siblings, Juliette Bradley, James Lord, and Louis Lord, who preceded her in death.

Jannette's life will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. at Flynn Bros, Inc. Funeral Home, 13 Gates, Ave, Schuylerville, NY, 12871, on Tuesday, August 5, 2025. A short visitation will precede her service, beginning at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Following her service, her burial will be held in the Maplewood Cemetery, Saratoga Springs, N.Y.
