Michael R. White

August 16, 1947 - January 16, 2025

HUDSON FALLS - Michael R. White, 77, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 16, 2025, at home surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Glens Falls on August 16, 1947, he was the son of the late Raymond and Theresa (LaFountain) White.

Michael was a graduate of Hudson Falls High School class of 1965. After graduation he enlisted in United States Marine Corp and proudly served his country during the Vietnam War.

On September 13, 1974, he married the love of his life Gail Fisher. This past September they celebrated their 50th Anniversary.

Michael had a strong work ethic and worked many various jobs around the country. He worked for 20 years at Alaskan Petroleum Contractor/Natchiq in Prudhoe Bay, Alaska, starting as a Roustabout and working his way up to superintendent before he retired.

He enjoyed his many road trips, traveling to all 50 states and across Canada to Alaska, and camping at his favorite spot at Muncho Lake, British Columbia. Michael was an avid Giants fan and enjoyed watching football with his brother-in-law, Tim. Michael especially loved spending time with his family and grandchildren.

Along with his parents, Michael is predeceased by his brothers, Dick and Tom; mother and father-in-law, Leslie and Louis Fisher; brothers and sister-in-law, Peter Fisher, Louis Fisher, Sandy Stimpson; nephews, Kyle Fisher, Jon Hermey; and niece, Jennifer Fisher.

Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Gail of Hudson Falls; children, Kelly Andrews and husband, Chris of Anchorage, Alaska, Courtney White of Hudson Falls, Michael White of Las Vegas, Nev., Leah White and husband, Billy Martin of Las Vegas, Nev.; grandchildren, Ellie, Lily, Sophia, Aiden, Harry, Kenzie; siblings, Jack White and wife, Janice, Kathy Stewart and husband, Tim, Joe White and wife, Stacy; brothers and sisters-in-law, John and Katie Fisher, Patty and Mitch Suprenant, Leslie Fisher and Laurie Fisher; along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Per Michael's request, there will be no calling hours.

A graveside service will be at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, January 24, 2025, at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Rd, Schuylerville, NY 12871.

The family would like to thank the nurses at High Peaks Hospice for the care and compassion they gave to Michael.
