SOUTH GLENS FALLS - Rosemary Fedele, 94, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 18, 2025.

Rosemary was Born on May 25, 1931. She was the second child born to Donald and Gertrude (McNutt) Jenkins in their family home on Fairview Street in South Glens Falls.

She attended and graduated from South Glens Falls Central School in 1949. After her graduation, Rosemary was employed as a secretary at the law firm of Clark & Emery. Next, she worked for So. Glens Falls Jr/Sr. High School. It later became the So. Glens Falls Jr. High and is where she met her future husband.

Rosemary married Salvatore Fedele on her 21st birthday, at St. Mary's Church in Glens Falls with Father Esmond officiating. Their wedding was followed by a reception at the home of her parents. Together they had five children, then adopted another.

Rosemary was a foster mom to newborn babies, who were adopted after several months and had a loving start to their lives. She loved children and for years took care of teachers' children in her home.

After retirement, she enjoyed traveling with her husband and spent winters in Florida. She enjoyed time with her family, bowling, golfing, playing cards, reading, and "Wine Time". Rosemary volunteered at the Red Cross Blood Drives, Meals-on-Wheels program through the Moreau Community Center and was a guild volunteer at Glens Falls Hospital. As a parishioner of St. Michael's Church, she was involved with the Rosary Altar Society, the bereavement committee and volunteered at Bingo.

In addition to her parents and husband, Rosemary was predeceased by her siblings and their spouses, Thomas Jenkins (Anita), Marilyn Doty (Allen), Helen Brown and Robert Jenkins (Peggy).

Left to cherish her memory include her children, James Fedele of St. Petersburg, Fla., Carol Lloyd (Randy) of Ballston Spa, Nancy Pratt (Tim) of Gansevoort, Andrew Fedele (Lisa) of Canton, Ga., Roger Fedele (Shannon) of Gansevoort and Robert Fedele (Tania) of Greenfield Center; her grandchildren, Marissa Passino, Michael Pratt, Jenna Lloyd, Brett Lloyd, Nicki Rojas, Tony Fedele, Drew Fedele, Anna-Marie Fedele, Makenzee and Abbie Fedele, and Orion Fedele and several nieces and nephews and great-grandchildren.

At Rosemary's request, there will be calling hours from 5 to 7 p.m., on Thursday, July 24, 2025 at the M.B. Kilmer Funeral Home, 136 Main St., So. Glens Falls.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m., on Friday at St Michael The Archangel Church, 80 Saratoga Ave., So. Glens Falls, NY 12803.

The Rite of Committal will be at the Gerald B. H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Duell Road, Schuylerville, N.Y.

The family would like to thank the staff on S-Wing at Fort Hudson Nursing Home for the compassionate care our mom received.
