George Elbel Obituary

George K. Elbel, the husband of Norma G. Elbel (Smith) of Le Roy, New York, age 91, passed away on May 16, 2024.
George was born on June 28, 1932, in Rossiter. He graduated from Punxsutawney High School in 1949.
He is survived by his brother, William Elbel of Texas; one son, George Elbel of Texas; and two daughters, Beatrice M. Brantigan of Niagara Falls, New York, and Alyson A. Struwe of Beaver.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, May 24, 2024, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Gilmartin Funeral Home 329-333 W. Main St., Batavia, NY 14020. An 11 a.m. funeral service will be held on Saturday the 25th at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 190 Oak St., in Batavia.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Byron Rescue Squad, PO Box 210 Byron, NY 14422, or American Lung Association PO Box 756 Osceola, WI 54020.
