JULIE HAGEN Obituary

JULIE MARIE HAGEN LOVELAND, OHIO - Julie Marie Hagen (née Alt) went home to be with the Lord on June 22, 2025, at the age of 64 in Loveland, Ohio. Julie lived a life full of faith, love, and service. Julie was born on September 6, 1960, and raised in Miller City, Ohio, as the eldest daughter of six children. In 1977, Julie met the love of her life, Bob Hagen. Julie was a 1983 graduate of the University of Toledo, where she received her BSN in Nursing. Julie practiced nursing for 29 years, most recently as Ultrasonographer and Nurse Manager at the CPC ministry in Northwest Ohio. Julie's ministry was providing loving counsel to expectant mothers and showing them the beauty of their unborn babies. Julie was a longtime resident of Defiance, Ohio, where she and Bob raised three sons. In 2023, Julie retired and relocated to Loveland, Ohio, to be near her family. Julie was the devoted wife of Robert "Bob" Hagen for 42 years. Proud daughter of John and Helen Alt. Cherished sister of Mark (Lisa) Alt, Dale (Sheryl) Alt, Connie (James) Doane, Steven (Deborah) Alt, and Stacy (Kirt) Bachman. Beloved mother of David (Patricia), John (Brianna), and Mark (Samantha) Hagen. Adored Grammie of eight grandchildren: Caleb, Hannah, Lizzy, Katherine, Annabelle, Theodore, Julianne, and Marie. Loving aunt to many nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held on Friday, June 27, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Kings Cross Church, 1945 E 2nd St., Defiance, OH 43512. On Saturday, June 28, the family will receive friends at the church from 9:00 10:00 AM, followed by service at 10:00 AM, with Pastor Sam Andres officiating. A reception at King's Cross Church Fellowship Hall will take place following the service and a private family burial. All who were touched by her life are welcome to attend the reception and honor Julie's memory. The family requests that rather than sending flowers, please consider making a donation to the church or to the CPC Women's Health Resource of Defiance, 1997 N Clinton St, Defiance, OH 43512, in Julie's name, continuing her lifelong commitment to serving others. However, if you choose to send flowers, they may be delivered to the church on Friday between 2-4 PM.
