Sterling Tucker Obituary

It is with our deepest sorrow that we are announcing the death of STERLING EDWARD TUCKER. He passed away on 10/16/2024 following a short illness surrounded by his family.
Sterling was born 12/19/1929 in Hughes Creek, WV. His parents were Leonard "Buck" Tucker & Hester Tucker.
He proudly served in the US Air Force during the Korean War. He was later assigned to Middletown Air Force base where he met the love of his life Helen Irene Weaver. Our mother passed away in 1995.
Sterling is survived by his sons, Thomas A. Tucker and Michael (Lori) Jackson; his daughters, Terri (Richard) Haldeman and Tina (Ken) Esterly.
Sterling was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Leonard Jr. and Marshall; Charles and Okey Tucker; sisters, Teresa Lipford and Barbara Spaulding.
Sterling's grandchildren are Thomas, Codi, Joseph, Stephen, Amy, Tate, Taylor, Tyler and Connor.
He was an avid fan of Hershey High School football and basketball as well as Berks Catholic basketball. He enjoyed fishing and collecting baseball cards and coins.
A memorial service will be held on October 26, 2024 at 2 p.m. in the Hoover Funeral Home of Hershey. The family will begin receiving guests at 1:30 p.m.
