Thomas L. Conner

March 22, 1951 - July 28, 2025

Thomas L. Conner, 74, of St. Petersburg, Florida, formerly of Moline, Illinois, passed away on Monday, July 28, 2025, at Lexington Health and Rehabilitation Center, St. Petersburg.

A memorial service will be held at 12 p.m., on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., on Wednesday, August 6th, at the funeral home. Memorials may be left in care of the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation.

Tom was born on March 22, 1951, in Canton, Illinois, a son of Maurice and Mary Lou (Mack) Conner. He married Linda Tegeler on October 16, 1982, in Canton, Illinois. Tom retired in 2015 as the Executive Vice President of the National Electrical Contractors Association in Joliet, Illinois.

Tom thoroughly enjoyed the time spent out on the golf course. Although, his greatest joy came from spending time with friends and family. He cherished every moment spent with his three grandchildren and loved keeping up with their activities.

Those left to cherish Tom's memory include his wife of over 42 years, Linda Conner, Seminole, Florida.; daughters, Sonya (Kary) Keller, Davenport, Iowa, and Shelby (Jeff) Schimmel, Coal Valley, Illinois; grandchildren, Payton Keller, Bettendorf, Iowa, and Conner and Hannah Schimmel, both of Coal Valley, Illinois; sister, Kathy (John) Barra, Peoria, Illinois; and several nieces and nephews.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Maureen Mazza; and nephew, Peter Mazza.
