Chad Burton Obituary
December 6, 1980 - June 29, 2025
Chad Robert Burton, 44, of Urbandale, passed away on June 29, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Davenport, IA, Chad was a proud graduate of Davenport West High and the University of Northern Iowa. He was a devoted father, husband, son, and friend known for his integrity, loyalty, and deep love for family.
Chad worked in restaurant management and later logistics, most recently with Express Logistics. He found peace fishing every chance he could, joy cheering on the St Louis Cardinals and Detroit Lions, and true happiness in time spent with his wife and friends. Above all, he loved being Dad to Andrew and Lainey.
Chad is survived by his wife, Emily; children, Andrew and Lainey Burton; parents, Robert and Debra Burton; brother, Brian ( Lindsey) Burton; nephew, Liam and niece Palmer Burton and a wide circle of extended family and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, July 13 at 2 p.m. at Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home in Urbandale, with an open house to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations for his children's scholarships may be made at ugift529.com (codes H28-938 and S7p-47A) or donations sent to Caldwell Parrish, c/o Chad Burton.
