Mary Hunter Obituary
She was born on March 16, 1928, in Rome, NY, the daughter of Leonard and Nellie Sass Finster. She graduated from Verona High School in 1945. She was employed by Fleet Bank (formerly Rome Trust Company and Oneida National) for 36 years. Mary was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, VFW Auxiliary #2246, Rome, Lake Delta Chapter #590 O.E.S., Lee Center.
She was also an avid bowler and seamstress, making all of her clothes in her earlier years.
She is survived by a special friend, Sylvia Smith.
Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, at Rome Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 4897 Old Oneida Rd., Verona, NY 13478.
