Betty Mitzen Obituary
Betty was born September 2, 1934 in Albemarle, NC to the late Laura Speights Howard and William R. Howard. She was a graduate of China Grove High School class of 1952. Betty worked for Norman's in Salisbury.
She was a member of Main Street United Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband John A. Mitzen in 1986; siblings, C.V. Howard, Donald Howard, Billy Howard, Cynthia Howard and Doris Livengood and granddaughter, Lina Nichols.
Left to cherish her memory is her son, John Mitzen, III. and wife Barbara of Gold Hill, NC and sisters, Ronelle Britt and Barbara Eddinger both of Salisbury, NC; grandson: Charles A. Mitzen (Brandy Roush) and step-grandson: Donald Campaniello (April); great-grandchildren Autumn Beaver (Kyle), Gray Nichols (Maddie Humphries) and Kerstin Nichols (David Wilder); great-great grandson Maverick Beaver.
The family will receive friends from 1-2 PM Tuesday (March 19) at Summersett Funeral Home.
A graveside service will follow at 2:30 PM at Brookhill Memorial Gardens.
