It is with great sadness to announce the passing of Anita Louise Houston, loving wife and partner of Walter Dressler (aka Doug Houston). She grew up in Los Angeles and worked at CalState LA for 25 years. She later got to fulfill a dream to move to Las Vegas where she worked for the city until she retired. She moved to Battle Creek with her husband to enjoy a stress free life together in his hometown. She was a selfless person that always wanted to help others and she had a special place in her heart for birds. There are no services scheduled at this time. In lieu of flowers, donations in her name can be made to the National Audubon Society (https://www.audubon.org) to further research, advocacy, and conservation of birds. Personal messages for the family can be placed at www.farleyestesdowdle.com.
