I met Pastor Roger many years ago. I was going to call him today to see how he was doing. I had just left my doctor after receiving some discouraging news about my kidney function. I was shocked to find out that he had passed away in August. He was always a great encouragement to me through the years. He was one of the most kind, compassionate and loving people that I´ve ever known. He always encouraged my faith walk and was a true inspiration to me and modeled what it was to have a true Pastors heart! He was a rare breed, one in a million. I pray that our God will bring continual comfort to his wife and children in all the days ahead. He will never be forgotten! I will always cherish our times together. Thank you my friend for showing me that loving and compassionate Pastors still exists. I know Jesus met you and said, Well done thou good and faithful servant!! I´m thankful hmthat my friend Dennis brought me with him to your church in Morro Bay so many years ago!

In 2000, pastor Fvey along with father Ed, Kim Kimball and I organized the Blessing of the Fleet for the Morro Bay Fishermen. Every year Pastor Ed played guitar and sang and gave spiritual guidance.. Every time I saw him in the community I felt loved and blessed. I think of him often.

What a great man of God and fellow servant/leader. Had the wonderful privilege of serving together with Roger during our years of pastoring in Los Osos. He loved his God, his family, his church and the community - all which he served with passion and compassion. Will see you in the morning, my brother and friend. Sending our love and prayers to Lynn and the kids.

We loved Rodger and Lynn so much. Roger baptized me as an adult. We met them both back in 1987. When they came here from Portland Oregon. There first church was at the South Bay Cummity Center in Los Osos CA. South Bay 4 Square.

Having walked together in ministry many times over the past 40 years, we have been blessed by his dedication and diligence to the Lord Jesus Christ, his family and his love that extended to the community at large. He would often say, you know, I might run for office one day! He has now graduated to The highest office ! We love him and look forward to our eternal celebration, together. Love and prayers to Lynn and all the family.

Roger and his family were dear friends and fellow servants of the Lord during all our years in Los Osos. This is a great loss for his family and community but though we grieve, we do so we the certain hope of seeing him again. I'll always remember his email sign off: "Blessings, Pastor Roger." You were a blessing indeed, Roger, and we'll remember you well and always.

Earth has lost and heaven gained a servant of the Good News of salvation by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. It was a privilege to be your friend and co-laborer.
