Charissa Walsh Obituary

Charissa Lauren Walsh
Born: May 13, 1984
Died: September 28, 2024
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Charissa Lauren Walsh, beloved mother, daughter, sister, partner and friend, who died at home on September 28, 2024 at the age of 40.
She is survived by her son, Jaxen; parents Bob and Kim; brother Aaron; fiancé John Sturts; grandmother Vera Hamilton; grandfathers: Bob Walsh Sr and Chuck Hamilton; and a special uncle, aunt and cousins.
She was preceded in death by grandmother Diane H. Walsh; and uncle Mitch Hamilton.
Charissa attended Faith Baptist Christian School, Newman High School, Sauk Valley Community College, and had received her Bachelor of Science degree from American Inter-Continental University in Criminal Justice with honors. Her son Jaxen was the focus of her life and she was devoted to him and proudly supported him in all of his activities.
Charissa will be remembered for her beautiful smile, huge heart, listening ear, and deep loyalty to those she loved and knew as friends. Charissa fiercely defended friends and loved ones and her compassionate spirit will be forever missed.
A celebration of Charissa's life was held on October 2, 2024, and hosted by her dearest friends and cousin. A private service for family and close friends will be held at a later date.
Arrangements were entrusted to the McDonald Funeral Home & Crematory.
