Donald K. Driessens

Donald K. Driessens, 86 of Rock Falls died Thursday July 3, 2025 at his home.
He was born on December 9, 1938 in New Bedford, the son of Kamiel and Bertha (VanParys) Driessens and grew up in rural Deer Grove on a farm. He enjoyed farm work and always had a calling to that career. He was a graduate of Tampico High School and then served in the US Air Force. He married Patricia Donley on April 25, 1964 in Tampico. Don had worked at the former Rock River Provision for 32 years and later at the former Home Town Market (Rheelings) in Rock Falls. He was a member of St. Andrew Catholic Church; a devout Green Bay Packer fan; and found great enjoyment in working about in his yard.
Survivors include his wife, Pat; sons: Steven Driessens and Mark (Laura) Driessens; grandchildren: Samantha (Chris) Senn, Nathan (Katie) Driessens, Caleb Barry, Korissa (Matt) Kipping and Trevor Driessens; and six great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers: Dennis and Darrell Driessens; and daughter in law Jennifer Driessens.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday July 8, 2025 from 4-7 PM at the McDonald Funeral Home in Rock Falls. Celebration of the Mass of Christian Burial will follow on Wednesday at 10 AM in St. Andrew Catholic Church, with the Reverend Richard R. Russo officiating. Private family burial will conclude at St. Mary Cemetery in Tampico.
