Felipe Gallegos Jr, 81 of Rock Falls died Sunday July 20, 2025 at Rock River Hospice & Home.
He was born on December 5, 1943 in Pharr, TX the son of Felipe and Paula (Mendoza) Gallegos Sr. He married Maria Mendoza on April 23, 2005. Felipe had worked for many years at Quebecor in Mount Morris and had also been an agent for Western Southern Life Insurance. He was a member of St. Andrew Catholic Church where he served as a Reader and Usher at Mass and a member of the Knights of Columbus. Each day he would visit the Rock Falls and Sterling Public Libraries, Felipe enjoyed visitation the casinos and was an avid White Sox fan.
Survivors include his wife, Maria; sisters: Juanita Urrutia of Rock Falls, Diana Gonzalez of Aurora and Margie Figueroa of Rock Falls; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers: Frank, Ernesto and Ray Gallegos; and sister Yolanda Gallegos.
Visitation will be held on Friday July 25, 2025 from 10 -11 AM at St. Andrew Catholic Church in Rock Falls. Celebration of the Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 AM with the Reverend Richard M. Russo officiating. Burial will conclude at Calvary Cemetery, Sterling.

Memorials may be given in his memory to the Rock Falls Library or Rock River Hospice & Home.
