James Mills Obituary

James 'Jim' Mills
Born: January 9, 1962
Died: July 18, 2025
James was born in the town of Sterling, Illinois on the date of 01/09/1962, to his mother, Lois Fritz, and father, Kenneth Mills, with whom he shares a brother, Rickie "Rick" Mills and sister, Vickie Mills.
He graduated from high school in 1980. He would shortly after enroll in the U.S. Navy, honorably serving his 6 years on the USS Grayling, notably sailing from the Mediterranean to countries such as Scotland and England.
In life, James was characterized as a stellar human being. With remarks to his incredible intelligence, James worked most of his life as a telecommunications engineer. Working at WTVO 17 in 1988, he later went onto be the chief engineer at WIFR 23.
Often referred to as "Jimmy' by those closest to him, James was a family man, a fisher, a laugher, a lover, and an incredibly important part of this world. His smile and warm soul will not be forgotten, and his legacy will live on forever in our hearts.

I was friends with Jim, I remember we drove with his dad to his grandmas house for a weekend. He was fun to be around. I´m so sorry for your loss.
