Laymon Delano Garrison
May 21, 1928 – June 3, 2025

Funeral services for Laymon Delano Garrison, 97, of Gore, will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 7, 2025, at House of Prayer in Gore. Burial will follow at White Cemetery in Gore under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.
Mr. Garrison was born on May 21, 1928 in the Gum Springs community to Lon and Eddie Garrison and passed away on Tuesday, June 3, 2025 in Gore.
He was married to Virginia Lee Garrison on Jan. 23, 1952, in Vian. She preceded him in death on Sept. 19, 2021.
A hillbilly kid raised in a primitive but humble lifestyle where huntin', fishin' and helping the large family survive was paramount. He patterned his life from lessons learned during these hardships times.
A simple obituary cannot encapsulate Laymon's life, but it serves as a tribute to a man who's call to serve our Lord was unalterably fixed.
Laymon's life story is a vivid picture of undaunted dedication to serving his Lord God and providing a simple plan of salvation to others.
Survivors are two sons, Gary Garrison and Vicki and Rudy Garrison and Janell; seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; one brother, Garner Garrison and Lena; and numerous nieces and nephews, including Sharon Hornback and Diana Blackburn who unselfishly comforted him during his last days.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 69 years, Virginia Garrison; one son, Ronnie; eight sisters; and four brothers.
Active pallbearers will be Hunter Garrison, Luke Wilburn, Bo Ridley and Stanley Smith.
Honorary pallbearers will be Charles Garrison, Kenny Smith and Ricky James.
