Robert Mangan Obituary

Robert Arthur Mangan
12/25/1937 - 08/28/2025
Robert (Bob) Arthur Mangan Sr., 87, of Lincoln, California, passed away peacefully on August 28, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was a special soul from the day of his birth on December 25, 1937, and was fond of saying with a smile and a twinkle in his eye, "It's just me and Jesus!"
Born in San Francisco to Arthur and Mildred Mangan, Bob attended St. Ignatius High School and graduated from Lincoln High School. He went on to study at Golden Gate University and San Francisco State University before beginning a successful career as the owner of RAM Fire Protection. He was a proud member of Sprinkler Fitters Local 483 for over 50 years.
In 1963, Bob and his beloved wife, Sharon, bought their first home in Fremont, where they raised four children and built lifelong friendships during forty wonderful years there. Bob loved coaching Little League baseball and CYO basketball. As an avid golfer for many decades, he and Sharon spent their retirement years at Lake Wildwood near Nevada City, where golf became a focus of their lives. During their thirteen years there, they made cherished friendships, enjoyed countless rounds, and celebrated Bob's proudest golfing achievement-his hole-in-one. He also served as President of the Lake Wildwood Golf Club.
For the past decade, Bob and Sharon have called Sun City Lincoln Hills home, where they embraced golf once again and enjoyed time with dear friends playing cards, Hand and Foot, and shuffleboard.
Together, Bob and Sharon loved traveling and visited more than 18 countries across five continents. A lifelong reader, Bob devoured countless books and became known as a gifted storyteller. His dry sense of humor and quick wit brought smiles to everyone who knew him.
Bob is survived by his high school sweetheart and beloved wife of 68 years, Sharon; his children Rob (Becky), Rick, Chris (Brian), and Kevin; twelve grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings Susan (Larry, deceased) and Tim (Janice).
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 11th, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Ballroom at Orchard Creek Lodge, 965 Orchard Creek Lane, Lincoln, California.

We will hold you close in our hearts forever! You were special to me and to our entire family. You were truly family to us. Thank you for the many years of wonderful memories! I loved our England trip and the bonus of jumping in on the Globus tour with you guys and mom and dad. You made that trip so fun! I will treasure all the memories always, each laugh, each moment, all the conversations. The friendship and kindness will remain in our hearts forever.
Though you´re no longer with us, your spirit will continue to live in our hearts forever. We will carry you with us, will think of you often, and love you more than words can ever say.
With all our love,
Lisa and family xoxoxo
