Marilyn (Wilkins) Cly, 83, passed away on Dec. 28, 2024.
She was born and raised in Moral Township, Shelby County, Indiana, where she belonged to the local 4-H club and youth group at church. She also enjoyed playing the piano for church and social events.
She was a member of the first class to graduate from the newly consolidated Triton High School. Following high school she graduated from the Methodist Hospital School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse. While working there she met and married her husband of over 50 years, Richard Cly, who preceded her in death.
She worked in various fields of nursing, retiring in 2001 due to illness.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, James and Helen (King) Wilkins, her brother James "Tom" Wilkins, and her sister-in-law, Nancy (Cly) Moster.
Survivors include daughters Carla (Richard) Cly- Williams, Andrea (Barry) Morris, grandchildren Richard Harden, Amelia (Austin) Ballestero, Marilyn Morris, and Chester Morris, great-granddaughter Robin Ballestero, niece Amy Wilkins Morning, nephew James "Jim" Wilkins and several cousins.
Her extended family includes sisters-in-law Nancy Cly Moster, Becky Hohman, Suzy Gillman, and their families all from Brookville, Indiana.
Her favorite singing artists were Elvis Presley and Matt Monro. Her favorite pianist was Floyd Cramer. Marilyn was an avid collector of dolls and all things Marilyn Monroe. She also enjoyed playing Mrs. Claus to her husband's Santa Claus.
She was a member of Old Bethel United Methodist Church. Donations may be made to her church or charity of the donor's choosing. Stillinger Family Funeral Home – Hendryx Cumberland Chapel, is of assistance to the Cly family.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 15, at the Cumberland Chapel, 11636 East Washington St., Indianapolis, IN, from 4-6 p.m., and the service immediately following at 6 p.m., with Reverend Bob McMillen officiating.

So sorry to hear of Marilyn´s passing. Our families have know each other for years. We had gone to the same church Sugar Creek Methodist for many years. Rest in peace and God bless the family
