Timothy Callihan Obituary

Timothy J. Callihan, 61, of Ludington, Michigan, passed away at home on October 23, 2025. Born in Upper Sandusky, Ohio, on December 12, 1963, Tim's life was marked by quiet strength, deep loyalty, and a love for the outdoors.

Tim moved to Michigan in 1977 during his sophomore year of high school and graduated from Rogers High School in Grand Rapids. He pursued further education in the trades, laying the foundation for his career. Since 2011, he has worked as the IT Director, for Western Land Services.

In the late 1990s, Tim made Ludington his home. It was there, in 2002, that he met the love of his life, Carrie and her daughter, Mackenzie. Their bond grew quickly, and Tim and Carrie were married on June 28, 2006. Together, Tim and Carrie built a life filled with love, laughter, and shared adventures. Tim became a loving father to Mackenzie and over time helped guide her into becoming the woman she is today.

Tim was a man of many passions. He found joy in hunting, woodworking, fishing, camping, and cooking. He was a proud member of the Sons of the American Legion Squadron 76 in Ludington, the Ludington Boat Club, and the Fin & Feather Club, where he formed lasting friendships. Tim will be remembered for his quiet wisdom, sense of humor, and his generous spirit. He will be deeply missed.

Tim is survived by his beloved wife Carrie Callihan, their daughter, Mackenzie (Cody) Leedham, brother Ed (Lois) Callihan, sister Beth (Tom) Peery, father and mother in-law, Ron and Jan Ray, brother in-law Charlie Ray, several nieces and nephews, and family dog, Oakley. He was preceded in death by his parents and several aunts and uncles.

Visitation will be held at 10:00AM, Monday, November 3, 2025, at St. Simon Roman Catholic Church, 702 E Bryant Rd, Ludington, MI 49431. Funeral services will then be held at 11:00AM, officiated by Father Wayne Wheeler, with a luncheon to follow.
