From the early years of asking him to play football or whatever activity "of-the-day" that we were playing when I was at the Beer´s house; we always needed John to make us whole.
Growing up in our small school, Holy Angels & Lehman Catholic, we both shared a passion and interest in baseball. He was real good at baseball too (second base, pitcher, shortstop) but most notably, he was a dangerous catcher. John could sense and throw out anyone who was trying to steal second base (looking back...probably was a solid predication of a future CPA catching waste/fraud).
Baseball was the glue of what bonded John and I, and it´s one that I sincerely feel was mutually shared. You´re a Holy Angels & LHS baseball legend in my book brother
I always admired John and was so damn proud of how he composed himself "off the field". He was an excellent student, friend, and over all motivated professional ready to make a difference.
I´m so very blessed to have grown up alongside of you, John Copella. I am grateful for and I will cherish our memories together forever #23.

Kathy, Kevin, Katie and Andrea,
I am so sad and sorry. my memories of John are the summers I spent visiting my sister, Richele O'Connor, in Sidney. I remember John as this adorable, sweet little boy who was a joy to be around.
John will forever be in my heart and you will be in my prayers and thoughts always.
