A. Snell Obituary

A Jane Snell

October 12, 1935 - July 23, 2025

Jane Snell passed into eternity with family lovingly surrounding her, listening to worship songs.

Reunited with her beloved Richard and her precious Jesus in glory, on the morning of July 23rd, 2025.

Alice Jane Snell, was born in Scottsbluff, Nebraska on October 12th, 1935 to Byron and Marie (Acton) Joachim.

Janie grew up in Scottsbluff where she went through school and was a Scottsbluff Bearcat Cheerleader. At the age of 16 years old, she fell in love with a Gering Bulldog named Richard Snell. They were married in September of 1954 and for 70 years at the time of her passing.

Jane graduated from Scottsbluff High School and went on to College at the University of Colorado in Boulder. In the early 1960's, after moving back to Scottsbluff, NE, Jane and Dick had welcomed three children to the family. Jane was primarily a homemaker and worked as a Mortgage Banker for many years, as well as providing delivery services for their Snell Pharmacy.

There was NOT ONE person who ever met her that didn't love her.

Jane and Dick converted an old horse barn into Barn Anew Bed and Breakfast. They used their facility to host weddings, community events, church functions, and it was the family hub of holidays.

Jane was truly the Hostess with the Mostest!

In 2008, they moved to Loveland, CO. They made frequent trips to Estes Park and spent time in the Rocky Mountains. They became active in their church and she was a faithful servant for as long as her health allowed.

She was preceded in death by her Husband Richard, both Parents, her brother Jim Joachim and wife Anne, Brother-in-Law Gordon Snell and wife Barbara, and Son-in-Law Alvin Reifschneider.

She is survived by daughters Carol Frost and Susan Reifschneider, son Tom Snell and wife Judy; Grandchildren Mia (David) White, Trey (Amanda) Yarnall, Shane Yarnall, Alison (Jason) Mayes, Robin Reifschneider (Joey Stewart), Tyler (Jess) Snell, J.D. Snell, and Jessica Snell; Great Grandchildren Grace, Lincoln, Cooper, Quinn, Dylan, Axel, Ellie, Dafney and Margot.

There will be a Memorial Celebration of Life on Saturday August 9th at 11:00 a.m. at Faith Church, in Loveland, CO. 2707 Wilson Ave. Reception to follow. Any Contributions can be made to Faith Church.
