Dottie Burrow left us to be with the Lord on July 5, 2025, in McKinney, Texas. She was born in Jonesboro, Arkansas on July 25, 1941, to Gaylon and Betty Bradley and was a sister to Carl and Cecil.

Dottie's family will continue to honor her in their lives until such time the Lord calls them to join her: her husband Paul will always remember her as “sweetheart”; her son Michael, his wife Kathleen, and children Andie and Chase; and her daughter Laura Christopher, her husband PC, and children Ashlee and Robby. Dottie grew up in Jonesboro and moved to Memphis, Tennessee where she graduated from Messick High School in 1959. She met Paul in high school while he was in ROTC, they won each others hearts and were married July 9, 1961. In 1962 while Paul was serving in the Marine Corp stationed at Cherry Point, North Carolina, their son Michael was born. Soon afterward they relocated back to Memphis where they lived near both of their parents. Their daughter Laura was born there in 1965.

Dottie was a committed Christian and faithful in her service to the church. In Memphis, as her children grew up, she was dedicated to teaching Sunday School, working in Awana, and supporting Paul in every aspect of their shared service while he was deacon. Everything Michael and Laura were involved in - Scouts, Sunday School, piano lessons, school activities, church ministries, or sports - Dottie was involved cheering them on. When Dottie and Paul settled into North Texas, they quickly became active at First Baptist Plano where both children were married. They spent forty-five years serving faithfully. Dottie loved being co-director of Sunday School with Paul (Paul will admit she was the strongest part of the “co”). She planned and organized many activities over the years from field trips to Granbury and other wonderful destinations, women's teas, class parties, and so on. For many years Dottie and Paul ensured their Sunday School class had Sunday lunch organized, and they always prayed and sought to meet the needs of their friends in the church. Dottie lived the virtues of a Godly woman as outlined in Proverbs 31 displaying qualities founded on her devotion to the Lord and her family - dignity, patience, diligence, generosity, courage, wisdom, and devotion - representing the intrinsic values of a Godly woman. She never wavered from her principles or her love for her family and friends. Her absolute selfless devotion - never wanting her pains or struggles to be visible - she remained sweet natured to everyone even through her most difficult final sufferings.

Whether known as Mema, Mom, or friend, Dottie is dearly loved by so many beyond the immediate family and she will be deeply missed. This is a significant and heartfelt loss - not only for Paul and his family, but for all who have known and loved Dottie. Her kindness, faith, and warmth touched so many lives.
