PAUL ACKER Obituary

ACKER

Paul Edwin Acker passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at 67 years of age after a tragic accident. He was surrounded by family and friends when he passed. Paul is out of pain and at rest.

Paul was born in Arlington, Texas to Noble and Anna Acker. Paul spent his youth in Arlington, attending church and local schools. Paul played Little League baseball and participated in High School Track and Field events such as the Mile Relay. He had many life-long friends from his time as an athlete. Paul was one of the top sprinters in the state and eventually earned a Track Scholarship to UT Arlington where he graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Business.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Noble and Anna May Acker. Paul is survived by the love of his life Denise Claussen, his sons, Andrew, David, and Travis, brothers Dan, Steve, and Bill, sisters Cindy, Barbara, and Annette, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and extended family members.

Paul will forever be remembered as a very successful salesman and a great friend to all. Paul was larger than life in many ways, working hard and playing hard. Paul always tried to take care of the people in his family as well as the people he worked with, many colleagues becoming lifelong friends.

Paul was very proud of his sons and their accomplishments. He cared deeply for his children. He always made it a top priority to attend to his sons' sporting games and school events. He was especially proud of all three sons' college graduating from Texas A&M, their life accomplishments, and helping them grow into kind and caring young men.

Paul valued making memories and made many in his lifetime. He always lived life to the fullest. Paul had a lifelong interest in SCUBA diving and dove in many top sites around the world. Paul was a PADI SCUBA instructor for many years and touched a lot of lives teaching scuba.

He taught his sons how to hunt and fish, to have pride in Texas and to deal with life. He was always an avid outdoorsman, an experienced fisherman, and a fine shot with both rifle and shotgun. Paul loved to fish and hunt and to prepare wild game for the table. He hosted many family events during the holidays and was always cooking up a turkey or ham for the event.

Paul will be missed but not forgotten. His zest for life will always be remembered. We mourn his passing but celebrate the time we had together.
