Rosie Mae Marie (Davidson) Sparkman, a resident of Van Alstyne, Texas, passed away May 23, 2025 at the age of 65.

She was born on May 27, 1959, to her loving parents, Royce Asbery Davidson and Gladys (Pruitt) Davidson, in McKinney, Texas. Rosie grew up in McKinney and graduated from McKinney High School in the Class of 1977. Rosie met the love of her life, James Paul Sparkman, and celebrated their love and lifelong commitment on their wedding day, May 1, 1981, in McKinney, Texas. Together, Paul and Rosie built a beautiful life, creating countless cherished memories while raising their three children: Elizabeth, John, and Joseph.

Rosie had a deep love for people and a gift for making others feel special. She shared that passion through her work as a hairdresser, dedicating many years to her clients at the J.C. Penney Hair Salon and to countless children at Pleasant Hills Children's Home. She also served in her church though the years as a piano player, soloist, youth leader, and teacher. Her warm heart, vibrant personality, and unwavering devotion to her family and community touched all who knew her. Rosie attended Greywood Heights Church of God in Van Alstyne.

Rosie is survived by her beloved husband of 44 years, Paul Sparkman, of Van Alstyne, Texas; children, Elizabeth Blankinship (Mark), of Van Alstyne, John Sparkman (Megan), of Whitewright, Texas, and Joseph Sparkman, of Washington; grandchildren, Benjamin, Caleb, Timothy, and Nathan Blankinship, all of Van Alstyne, and John “Liam”, Silas, Cody, and Hazel Grace Sparkman all of Whitewright, Texas; brothers, Don Davidson (Toni), of Winnsboro, Texas, and Carl Davidson (Anita), of Mineola, Texas; brother-in-law, Brian Beauchamp (Tammy), of Melissa, Texas; and a host of extended family members and dear friends, who will miss her and cherish her memory.

Rosie was preceded in death by her parents Royce and Gladys Davidson.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, May 29, 2025, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas, 75013.
